About the Catawba Valley Wildlife Club

The Catawba Valley Wildlife Club is recognized as one of the oldest, largest, and most active wildlife clubs in North Carolina. Its 180-plus acres, located on the Jacob’s Fork River, feature a 5,000 square-foot clubhouse; ranges for rifle, pistol, archery, skeet, sporting clays, and wobble trap; canoe access; camping opportunities; and miles of scenic trails.

CVWC Clubhouse

Organized in 1939 as the Catawba County Wildlife Club, its mission was, and still is, rooted in wildlife management and conservation of our natural resources. We conduct about 5 percent of the Hunter Education Courses in all of North Carolina, and have raised over $100,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, as well as sponsoring a variety of events for the Boy Scouts, the Foothills Conservancy, and the Catawba Valley Science Center, among others.

We emphasize safety on all our ranges and have organized shooting events through out the year. Our National Hunting and Fishing Day event attracts thousands of folks from the surrounding community for a day of fun and outdoor activities. We are affiliated with many organizations dedicated to preserving the shooting and hunting sports.

CVWC is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization and we welcome your active and responsible participation
